The HPASWV is one of five private not-for-profit agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia legislated to provide health planning in Virginia. HPASWV is responsible for Region III, which is geographically the largest in Virginia, covering approximately one-third of the state, and about 18.5% of its population.
